KeraLink International

A new market created.

Restoring sight to 50,000 more people in the next five years.

One company.

Think Big. Act Bold.

Reversing corneal blindness globally is achievable, with bold action and focused commitment.

Corneal blindness is a leading cause of blindness globally and affects people at younger ages than blindness caused by glaucoma or cataracts — and it CAN be reversed.

Yet, more than 10 million people do not have access to the sight-restoring treatment that has been available for 100 years and available on-demand in the United States for almost 30 years.

Outside of the U.S., 99% of the people who need a corneal transplant will go without, because transplant tissue is not available, not affordable, or surgeons’ skills are not sufficient.

More than ten million people worldwide remain blind — many of them children and young adults, with a whole life ahead of them.

This is not acceptable

It’stime
for a
revolution.

Over the next five years KeraLink International will execute a bold strategic plan to restore sight to 50,000 additional people suffering from corneal blindness who do not currently have access to an affordable, available, and accessible cornea that would allow them to see. KeraLink will innovate and create an entirely new system for corneal transplantation, based upon the needs of these patients, rather than competing in a crowded, well served first-world market.

And this is just the beginning.

By creating the products and services needed to restore sight to those who have gone without for far too long, our goal is to build a sustainable market for corneal transplantation to serve the 10+ million people still waiting for a corneal transplant.

We will do so while relentlessly reducing costs, increasing availability, and removing complexity in corneal transplantation.

Leaving people blind is a choice.
So is enabling them to see.

We are choosing to reverse corneal blindness globally.

To achieve this vision, KeraLink will think big, be bold and make the leap in revolutionizing corneal transplantation. Through innovation we will make this treatment sustainably available to the millions of people left behind by the current system.

Over the next year, we will initiate our strategic plan to revolutionize corneal transplantation.

  1. Driving up availability
of the cornea to the patient.
  2. Driving down cost
    to provide a cornea.
  3. Driving out complexity
    everywhere it exists in transpantation.

About KeraLink International

Founded in 1962, Tissue Banks International —the organization now known as KeraLink — took a bold first step in addressing corneal blindness and establishing the sight-restoring standard of care that has been relied upon until this day.

With a strong foundation of expertise and a bold strategic plan, we are on a mission to restore sight within the next five years to 50,000 more people who would otherwise remain blind. And those 50,000 people are just the first step in taking the big leap to restore sight to more than 10 million people. KeraLink is stronger than ever and prepared to lead the way in reversing corneal blindness globally.

Now is the time to reimagine and revolutionize the way things are done.
